WW1 Medal card Robert Wing
« on: Tuesday 12 January 21 15:18 GMT (UK) »
Downloaded medal card for great uncle Robert Wing who died 3 Sep 1917 when his ship NEGRA was torpedoed in English Channel. Can read the first page ok but some text on second page, I can decipher some of the words but not all.

Admiralty requested to correct their revue.

The 'r' in revue and requested are similar.

MMR is Mercantile Marine Reserve

The first word could be "Since" rather than "Service". The final word appears to begin with B but I can't think what it is.

"Revue" seems unlikely ( "a light theatrical entertainment consisting of a series of short sketches, songs, and dances, typically dealing satirically with topical issues").
