Jeremiah Brown Chapman, born 1804 Chatteris

Looking for the parents of Jeremiah Brown Chapman, born 1804 Chatteris, Cambridgeshire - according to the 1851 census.
JBC married Charlotte Elizabeth Mary Ann Staples 20 Mar 1831 St Botolph, Bishopgate, London.
He was a cooper and they lived at 15 Harp Lane, London until his death in 1853.
I would like to know who his parents were, any help gratefully received.

Not listed in transcription of Chatteris baptisms BUT 5 baptisms to a William and Sarah:

William bp.29/6/1792
Robert bp.29/4/1793
Sarah bp.11/10/1795
Elizabeth bp.29/6/1797
James bp.22/3/1799

Father William was a cooper.

William Chapman married Sarah Brown 1/5/1791 Chatteris.

Think these seem a pretty good bet for Jeremiah's parents, same occupation and mothers maiden name Brown.

There were in fact no Chapman baptisms at all at Chatteris between 1800-1812.

Annette, Exactly where I got to - didn’t want to lead the witness!  But it would be nice to have proof.  The original records are in poor condition, especially 1804!  I may take another look at the scans.  Thanks for your time checking.

For interest, there is also a Mary Ann CHAPMAN, infant daughter of William (cooper) and Sarah buried at Chatteris on 25 Dec 1801.

Maddy.  Thank you that is interesting, as it shows there is at least one birth we haven’t spotted, only 3 years off the one I am hoping for.  More staring at poor scans online!
