Joseph Lord b1832 Rochdale

Hi I am looking for the parents of Joseph Lord b 1832c in Rochdale. Father is Joseph too but cannot find anything in the 1841 census .The Joseph born in 1832 married Ann Kenion / Kenyon in 1857 and only had one child called Joseph b 1860. Joseph 1832 died in 1887 aged 55 yrs, he was a painter.
If anyone could find his parents that would be great.

In 1851 he is with sister Mary Ann, who is 10 years older than him, born about 1822. She is unmarried though has a couple of children.

Dont know if she will help lead you to the parents.

I wonder of Joseph jnr is actually 8 years  -thus making dob about 1832?

Just looked at his marriage certificate, in 1857 when he married Ann his father Joseph was still alive. Joseph b1832 was from wardlethorpe Rochdale.

Lizdb I think you have cracked it, one of the witnesses on his marriage certificate was Betsy Lord. Thankyou so much.

When Joseph jnr married in 1857 what was his father's occupation given as please.

I appreciate you are looking for the maiden name of Joseph jnr mother but came across this marriage and wondered if it might be your Joseph's father's second marriage. Date of marriage 24th May 1841, Parish Church Rochdale.

Groom Joseph Lord full age, widower, abode Rochdale, occupation Weaver, father Abraham Lord occ Farmer.

Bride Mary Butterworth full age, spinster,abode Rochdale, father Abraham Butterworth.

Witnesses John Smith & Alice Mills. Groom, bride & witnesses all signed x

The date of the 1841 census was 6th June 1841 so there is a possibility that Joseph jnr and his siblings mother was not a Mary.
