Brick Wall - POLLARD, London
« on: Friday 15 January 21 11:11 GMT (UK) »
Could someone point me in right direction I am trying to find 78 Hertford Road Hackney St John in the 1871 census but it does not seem to go up to 78.  Please could someone have a look for me and give me the link.

I am trying to find a Thomas Edward Pollard and his sons, Thomas Edward Pollard and Henry Pollard.
Mother Martha was somewhere else.

TE Pollard was a Boot maker

Thank you

Can't find anything for this address.  Where did you get it from?  Can you tell us when and where the two Thomas's and Henry were born?

Without the above information it is difficult to find anything.  I did try 1861 census but not getting anywhere.  Thomas's occupation of boot maker is not producing any results.

In 1881 the two boys were born in Clerkenwell and Islington.  There are no births registered under POLLARD.

There's no marriage for Martha Merle to a Harris or Pollard!!

Where was Martha herself in 1871?

They appear to be born in Clerkenwell.
The information is only what i have from Thomas Edward Pollards marriage register to be honest.  I feel as if I am being led up the wrong path it does not seem right.
I cannot find a marriage for Martha Merle and a Thomas Edward Pollard either.
Only that on her marriage to James Moodey she states she was a widow and puts Pollard as her married name.
It is almost as if the Pollard name prior to Thomas Edward Pollards wedding did not exist.
