Where did they marry and precisely when.  Those details would help please.

Also can you list names of children of this marriage as a naming pattern might help with parentage.

James was a bookbinder - have you checked apprentice records?
When George Newman Wood married witnesses were William Wood who could sign his name quite neatly and Hannah Wood who made her mark. How do they fit into the family?
James and Sarah married in 1797 but no children found before 1805, I suspect there might be another two or three in between.

Oxford Chronicle and Reading Gazette 02 July 1853
Deaths
"June 24th after a long and painful illness, James Archer Wood, bookbinder after a long and painful illness, lamented by his family"

Baptism of James Archer Wood is on Ancestry.

I know some online trees have his death in 1857 but that James Wood was only 3 years old.

Have you got Sarah's parents?

According to marriage record she was of the parish they were married in at Bermondsey. 1841 census says born Oxon. Age is 65 on census, should be rounded down, but suspect not as other adult ages on page are not, looks like enumerator not following instructions.
The Sarah Wood who died in Oxford on 25 Feb 1845 age 68 was wife of Richard Wood of St Clement’s, Oxford, late surveyor of taxes according to newspaper report, so not the right one.
