John Boyd Wallace was living with his nephew Thomas J. Wallace in 1901 in Tobermore. John was 78 and a widower. John died Aug 19, 1907, in Tobermore, age given as 90.
Would anyone have access to an obituary for John Boyd Wallace. His will is indexed on Proni but when will that re-open?
John Boyd Wallace's wife was Elizabeth Saunders Pennell who died in Edinburgh in 1898 after which JB returned to Ireland.

Current regulations are in place until 6th February so it won't open before then.  The restrictions are being reviewed on 21st January so there may be more information about timescales available then.

Thanks Liam. The will will be interesting but so would an obituary, if there is one. I have a newspaper article from 1902 stating that J.B. Wallace was assaulted by Andrew Johnston, who was firstly married to Nancy Wallace, born abt 1840 in Aghaveagh, her father William, Nancy and Andrew's marriage 1860 in Cookstown. Trying to establish if J.B. Wallace is somehow related to William Wallace, Nancy's father, and therefore related to Andrew Johnston by marriage. John Boyd Wallace's father was Thomas Wallace who married Elizabeth aka Margaret Boyd. I just learned this info yesterday.

Rev. John Boyd Wallace was an uncle of my great great grandfather, Thomas Wallace. I have a copy of his will and information on him if you want to get in touch.
I have not found an obituary for him unfortunately.
