I do struggle with some of the writing

Would you know if Maud is short for anything ?

I know she has Margaret went on and had 2 Daughters Stella Born 24 January 1917 and she lived to 100 I met her on many occasions ( I wish I had asked so many more questions )
She told me her mother Never Married and she had a sister Called Maud who was younger than her ?
