 I am trying to trace James W Tanser I believe he was born in 1935, his parents were James W Tanser born in 1916, and Annie Smith Tanser.  they married in 1934 and lived in Hull.
James senior was my uncle.
I found a birth record of Jame W Tanser Jnr stating his mother's maiden name was Smith, but can not find any other information about him.
both my uncle and his wife have passed away some years ago
can anyone help

Are you sure that he is deceased, we are not allowed to give details for anyone possibly still living and you would need to remove his name from your post.  Have you located him on the 1939 register.

I am assuming as you don't mention a wife that the aunt & uncle you say are deceased were his parents that you have named
