I think you may have been misled by Google's translation of "gweddwon" as widows - it's referring to widowers and widows, so the Misters are the remaining spouses of sisters of the deceased  (the early part of the sentence refers to the eight brothers and sisters). I;d translate it as

Mrs Rees formerly of Soho,  Mr Rees formerly of Ystradfai, and Mr W. Thomas of Trefena

some searching suggests Trefena might also be known as Trefanau (or Trefanau Uchaf), Hengoed,  Llanelli

1881 census for Trefanau UChaf

William Thomas    40
Elizabeth Thomas    30
William Thomas    6
Elizabeth Thomas    3
William Thomas    74 - widower, retired farmer b LLanelli
John Anthony    20

 RG11; 5375; 114; 3;

William died 19 April 1891 - address Trefena Uchaf

Here he is in 1851 - at Trevennauch, Hengoed

William Thomas    44 - farmer of 50 acres b Llanelli
Elizabeth Thomas    49
John Thomas    18
William Thomas    9
Elizabeth Thomas    5
Elizabeth Williams    13

HO107; 2468; 397; 4;

Elizabeth dies between 1871 and 1881

I have had a further clue on Mrs W. Thomas of Trefena. In attendance at William Rees of Soho’s death (brother of David) in 1862 was William Thomas of Trevenna Ucha. This must the Husband of the “Mrs. W. Thomas of Trefena” mentioned in the obituary of David Rees. Therefore, I am guessing William Thomas is the husband of one of William and David’s, probably Elizabeth or Hannah I reckon. Can anyone help tracing William and his wife in the census

Just to add “ Mr Rees formerly of Ystradfai” should be Mrs as Cornelius Rees of Ystradfai died in 1887 while his wife died in 1889
