Service/Pension Record for James Green 5th East Lancs 241129
« on: Saturday 23 January 21 09:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi. Can anyone please make out the first word of the paragraph please. It relates possibly to a medical diagnosis of James Green. In 1918, on discharge he was sent to the ‘asylum’ in Lancaster, where he remained until his death in 1964.

I think it reads:-

...... constitutional aggravated by stress of campaign ...... capacity assessed 16th ? recommended for treatment in asylum.

It has been a difficult one to read. It has been edited to be in any hope of making sense of it. Many thanks as always.

I think the word before capacity is carrying. So the number might be 160lbs?
