Wallis/Henderson marriage kirkhaugh 1809.
« on: Saturday 23 January 21 15:41 GMT (UK) »
Hi folk's,Henry Wallis/Wallace was my Gtx3 Grandfather born Kirkhaugh,I've not gone further back
with his family but having a clear out of old papers I found a note I must have made years ago
showing his marriage to Mary Henderson July 1809 in Kirkhaugh,on familysearch there is another entry identical apart from marriage place which state's Horton Northumberland. His parents were George and Margaret(maiden name unknown). There are two Mary Hendersons one born 1794 which
seems too late for an 1809 wedding and one 1791 who could be the Mary Henderson in the 51
cencus in Alston, just wondered if any of you armchair detectives could shed any light on any of these
folk's Henry ended up farming in Teesdale his history I'm aware of.
Regards Steve.
