Metal Picture - looking for date

This picture was on metal.  Not sure what the metal is but it appears to be fairly malleable and is brown on the back - looks like rust.  Looking for approximate date.

Although called tintypes the metal used was iron, hence the rust.
The early tintypes from around mid 1860's were mounted in gilt frames or cases
similar to the earlier ambrotypes but these cost more than the photo so were
discarded in favour of cardboard frames.
You can see this was originally in a gilt frame so from around mid 1860's.
