Looking for any info on where my Grandma was put age 3. I cannot find her parents anywhere i have hit a brick wall.Her given name was Marion Jigghera on Birth Certificate May 1918 also was her Mothers name but cannot trace anything any help would be greatly accepted.

Birth indexed as Marion Jigghrea and marriage 1942 Marion V Jigghrea.
I wonder if it is a variation of Jigariya and is of possibly an Indian name.
The only similar surname I can find is for a soldier M R Jigariya 1920 to 1945 died in WW2. parents Muhammed Ghouse and Gori Jigariha of Salem, India.
Hopefully some other Rootschatters might have some more information.

Is it just Mum on her birth certificate?  Did she name a father when she married?

A family tree has her mother born in 1892 - any idea where that information came from?

Oh the tree also says she arrived in New York 1912 before she was born    or was that information for her mother perhaps

Yes she was call Marion V Jigghrea Veronica was given to her by the nuns in Holly Mount and and she was married to Harold Morgan 1942
yes only the mum on bc no fathers name
I think it's my family tree I have her Mother on but I think we were only guessing?
on the birth certificate it has the mother as a domestic Servent at 55 York street Rochdale but can not find such an address or who lived there... i also have a letter saying she was born at Crumpsall hospital 123 Crescent Road Crumpsall
