There are newspaper items referring to the Sisters Santley as being the daughters of Walter Raynham. It might be that Walter Rose was a stage name.

The Era
26 Feb 1898
page 19, column 2
Correction to previous announcement
- Sydney T Pease
- worthy proprietor of the Greyhound Hotel, Croydon
- arrival of son on 14th inst.
- Mrs Pease (Miss Marie Santley) is the eldest daughter of
- Walter Raynham,
- late manager of Gaiety, Dublin and Prince of Wales's, Birmingham
- she, with sister Portia, for many years known as the "Sisters Santley"
- on her marriage in 1894 she left stage and
- her place taken by sister Dolly
- Mr Pease was at old Imperial with Disney Roebuck, and
- has travelled in India, Australia and America

[Is sister Portia the witness on the marriage, signed as Portia Rose?]

The Era 01
Jul 1899
page 16, column 2
- the Sisters Santley are combining with the Sisters Raynham,
- will open on Monday next, at the Grand Clapham, as the Four Trees.
- these four young ladies, who are the daughters of Mr Walter Raynham,
- well known stage-manager and producer,
- are already booked for a London pantomime.

It appears in the light of new information received from a cousin that we have the wrong marriage for the above and from other records he was married ( ??) to a MORVAL MARY Willis.  I cannot find the marriage but as they travelled a lot and one time from South Africa could be ?? married abroad.

It appears that we've got the wrong Sydney (there were 2!), Ettie married a Sydney Pease but he was born in Tottenham, my one was born in Bethnal Green?
cuffie81 if you've still got access to Sydney's death notices could you please post the details?
