Thank you spendlove, your information has taken me back to the Fletcher House of Lace, Now I'm wading through Fletchers before certificates trying to sort out who belongs to who, if the Samuel who married Mary Richardson was a tanner what was the occupation of the Samuel who married Mary Wylde and which one was the relative of Goodere Fletcher.

Hi,

How do you know that the Samuel F who married Mary Wild was a tanner?

Fletcher Book. Pg 225 shows the Wyld tree, shows John Wyld of Codnor d. 1773 in his will he leaves
Money to his dau. Mary Fletcher, the will does not name her husband but the tree has his name as
Samuel Fletcher.  This may be an assumption.

In the book it states that Mary (wild) Fletcher and possibly her son died, and that Samuel married again suggesting this as Mary Richardson of Spondon. If the tree is correct we know that Mary Wild Fletcher is still alive in 1773.

As Previous post the Fletcher/Richardson marriage was a first for both.

Suggest you make trees from the Wills you have and then compare with the book.

Robert F d 1751 only left his son Samuel £10 a year for 10 years, however Goodere F (son of Robert) d.1754
Leaves his nephew Samuel, son of Samuel his brother, land can you trace this land?

Hi Spendlove!
The information about Samuel came from you, you said you had looked at the licence for him and Mary Richardson, it stated Samuel Fletcher of Heanor aged 23, a batchelor Tanner.
Thank you for the suggestion about making trees from the wills I don't know why I didn't think of that I've done that several times with other ancestors.

Hi,

I am so sorry, totally lost the plot.  For some reason I thought you had written that Samuel
who married Mary Wild was also a Tanner. You did not.

Yes Samuel who married Mary Richardson was a Tanner.

The following connection to a record held in Derbyshire Record Office, does explain some info re the various Samuels.  Other names are of interest Heath bankers in Derby went Bankrupt, and the Wright brothers bankers of Nottingham passed on one of their clients Richard Arkwright of cotton fame to
Jedidiah Strutt & Samuel Need.

There are 18 documents, click forward/backward to see the rest.

Again my apologies hope this message is better.

Don't worry about it, the fletchers make for erratic thinking. The link you gave me is interesting and I am going to need lots of time to peruse the various bits of information.
