Haven't viewed it myself but if the tree on Ancestry states William was William G. Britton (son of George) this is incorrect.

As has been stated by Millmoor your William was the son of a Thomas i.e. Thomas Britton and Priscilla Harris married 23/9/1849 Kingswood - William's birth entry is Mar.qtr.1864 Keynsham - mmn Harris.

Looks like he was the William Britton who died Keynsham 1925.

Think your Ernest could be the man in Rhondda - a boarder - shown as 22 rather than 20.

There was no other Ernest Britton born Kingswood in relevant time period.
