Please help i am unable to upload my picture to my post I've optimized it to 500 but its still not allowing me to upload the picture any advice greatly appreciated

Must have a totally unique name....and be under 500kb  If it is called file 1 for example that name will have already been used.
Does it give a reason why failed ?

 Hi and welcome.  It's possible that you need to have three posts before you can attach a photo.  I don't know if that's true, but some features of RootsChat are only available once you have posted tree times. Also, you could try changing the file name of your photo.  I've noticed that, if a photo is rejected [because it's too large, for example], you have to change its name when you try again.

Hi Shellypea and welcome to Rootschat, you need to rename the file and make sure that when you attached the photo, you only click once. Also, it needs to say "No file chosen" when you go to attach.

Erato, you can attach a photo as a new member.
What error message are you getting?

I'm not getting any error message.  I just thought it was possible that the three-post rule applied to attachments.

If you are trying to upload to a “lookup” board, what you are describing is what happens.

The poster is on the Photo Restoration Board, that's what happens here, people post their images for restoration and dating.
