Jane Robson 1852 - 1888
« on: Wednesday 27 January 21 15:03 GMT (UK) »
I hope that someone may be able to Locate Jane in the 1871 census please.
She was born 10/12/1852 in Low Hirst Northumberland, Chrstnd 6/2/1853 at Woodhorn, Northumberland, I believe the seventh child of Thomas Robson and his wife Margaret, nee White.
Although the family were originally from N'Humberland, they seemed to move towards County Durham, with each child born in a different place. In 1861 Jane, age 8, lived at Stanley Farm, Crook and Billy Row, Durham, together with parents and six siblings. Jane married Charles Elgy in 1873 and by 1881 they lived at Hamilton Row St. Brandon, but I cannot pin her down in 1871.
I realise that Robson is quite a common name in these parts, but if anyone can find the missing piece I would be very grateful.  Thanks

Have you found the others in 1871?

Jane/Jean are interchangeable, have you tried looking for her as Jean/Jeannie?
