I'm new to this site, but have reviewed many previous posts.
I'm from the direct line of Helen Cunningham and Theo. John Paterson who moved to Broxburn after their marriage ~1806. Have a few loose ends on the family tree, if anyone can assist.
Associated families are Mills\Milne, Millar, Thomson, Fairley, Sinclair, McLaren, Glendinning and Potter. Also from Broxburn in the 1800's, Stevenson, and the blacksmiths, Taylor. Paterson - Stevenson - Taylor boys married Foggo sisters.
As with many, the family did migrate. My end, and others, ended up in Australia.
