Grantham deanery baptisms and burials 1754-1812 == GLOVERS
« on: Sunday 31 January 21 02:12 GMT (UK) »
Trying to confirm a record I saw more than 15 years ago -- burial at Grantham or Little Gonnerby -- after 1797 before 1812 == Sarah Brook Glover -- could be Brooks or Brookes -- Interested in any other Glover  there.

Thank you so much for the effort

The record I saw was either fiche film or book.
Remember exactly where I was when I saw it but not the details.
Weird what memory does.

Thank you again in advance.

Hi Grantham library have a microfilm  Reel 885 of St Wulframs Baptisms & Burials covering the years you are asking about but due to the libray only open for click and collect I am unable to look it out for you but I could ask one of the librarians if they could look at it for you not sure if they can get to the filing cabinet with all the books having to be kept in that department for so many days before they can put them on the shelves again.
I will let you know the outcome.

Dear Tup1
Thank you so very much.
It is awkward for everyone with covid.

The year range might be a little wider but I think not.
I am interested in any Glover there but it is her record I "recollect".
Not quite sure why they were there as from elsewhere.

As you can tell from the question I am very patient.

It was kind of you to reply.
Thank you so much.
I hope all will be well for you and yours

There are records here but very few Glovers in that period

There are a few in Ancaster, about 8 miles away, which are also on the same site.

Images are on Findmypast and seem complete, but the same as the above.

Thank you all for all your help. So very kind of you all.

It is not on-line but by sheer dumb luck
(as Professor McGonagal (probably spelt wrong) would say)
I found my handwritten notes from about 1980 and can still read them.

Looked at Deptford Kent and Grantham the same day -- similar types of records.

The Death was actually Deptford the same year she was born.
No! It still has not made it to the digital world.

So no need for any dipping into Grantham records for me .
Thank you to those who offered.

Still do not know why the family went Deptford to Grantham and back to Deptford.
But we all have mysteries like that.

Thank you
