But what to do with the Certificate awarded for climbing the Great Wall of China??????

Scan it and add to your family history? Then  . . (I couldn't throw it away, but I carefully haven't collectedcerts like that)

It's in a special fabric lined folder.........I think I'm going to keep it, purely for historical purposes.

(wasn't a very demanding climb, by the way, as I recall, for anyone interested)

My dad died last year and we have been sifting through his book collection. About 80% of his books were about golf and the other 20% about history and learning Spanish.

Lots of my books are about genealogy, soap operas, and the history of London. And I have my cert for climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge.

I have considered my book collection and I think "eclectic" may be the right word? ::)

Eclectic looks good - deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.

No books on sport here either - there was one on the longbow but I passed that to my son some years ago.

In my days working in a library, the sport section had a predominantly green appearance (all those cricket pitches and golf courses), except the mountaineering books and they were blue!
