1917 John William Hadley
« on: Sunday 31 January 21 21:41 GMT (UK) »
Hi All, I was hoping someone could help find some information on John William Hadley born 1917, mother May Elizabeth Hadley and father John William Hadley.

There is a 1939 census for the family living at 128 bendall Road, Birmingham, where the parents John and May were living.  There is one name scrubbed out in black which I assume to be John's or his sister Edna V Hadley who was born 1922.  His siblings George, Percy and May are listed.  I would like to try and find out what happened to John during his life but am having difficulty with finding records.  There are a few John Hadley's and John William Hadley's in Birmingham.  There are also a couple marriages, but again I wouldn't know which one could possibly be his, if he married and I cant find anything on the British newspaper site.  I was hoping someone out here may be able to find something to go on.  I dont know if there are any birmingham residents on here whose relatives may have known him?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

Birth Date 21 Dec 1917

John's entry should be visible on the 1939 register as he is over 100yrs old

The only John William Hadley death shows birthdate 15.1.1917 - died Birmingham 1975

There is a John Hadley b 1917 died 1963 but full birthdates were not shown until 1969

I don't know then.  My grandad is listed and he died 2002.  His sister Edna died 1949 but she's either not on it or it's her name or John's blacked out?  All of John's siblings except Edna are listed

Don't think 15th Jan 1917 can be the John I'm looking into.... He was born 21st Dec 1917, baptised  jan1918.  I can't find any 1939 census with John's dob on - which makes me wonder whose name is blacked out on the 1939 census with John's siblings and parents on
