And the marriage of Ellen - no sign of Margaret as a witness  :-\
Maybe it is all just coincidence.

Hi all
Thanks for all your help, it looks like the family moved to Ireland before 1901 as i have found the father James as a widow living with some of his children over there. I wonder, if this is the correct family, why they put Margaret into an institution and kept the others with him, still very confusing x

Margaret's daughter who had the DNA test said that it showed no Irish in her
Ethnicity results are only estimates, not to be taken in reference to the paper trail.

It does seem strange if she is the same family. Perhaps she was a relative (may be orphaned) and gave James as her father.

She had Peripheric neuritis, pneumonia 7 days. I wonder if the family went to Ireland because Margaret snr was ill, to be near family?

Thanks for all your help. One last question, if Margaret Mcilwaine was in fact born in 1877 rather than 1888, she would have been 25 and NOT 15 in 1901 when she was in the Irish boarding school/institution ???
