The Workington Margaret's birth
MCILWAINE, MARGARET       MCLOUGHLIN
GRO Reference: 1877  J Quarter in COCKERMOUTH  Volume 10B  Page 616

Might she have taken 11 years off her age ??? When did she die?

ADDED: Who were the witnesses at the 1910 marriage? Just looked on irishgenealogy.ie - Harry Ward & M Barker, so no help!!

Josey, what you have said about the age is interesting i have just remembered that after Margaret died there was something said about her having lied about her age sometime in her life and she was actually older that what her children believed she was, that would make sense with what you have just put !!!!!

That’s good.
She is a couple of years older than her husband in 1939 and the same age on marriage. She maybe wouldn’t want to appear too many years older.
Everything else fits with England etc.
There is a gap too between the two older girls in the family and the younger group. Unless there were baby deaths.

You just have to find her between 1891 and her marriage.
