George James Luker
« on: Monday 01 February 21 17:09 GMT (UK) »
George James' baptism was registered in Lower Swell to parents Richard and Ann Luker. He also has a brother Charles Richard registered in 1855. The rest of the siblings were registered in Windsor/Clewer.
This baptism listing is the only place where I can find George James - he has a brother George Alfred born in 1869.
He doesn't appear on the 1861 census so I can only presume that he died between 1853 and 1861 but I can't find a suitable listing for a death. Can anyone help please?

Ann (Turner) Luker was from Lower Swell. Not too sure why Richard was in the area, probably something to do with being a policeman. However they were married in Westminster. I have a lot of info on the family. As George James was baptised it has always been of interest to me to find out what happened to him. Presumably having died before 1861 but when.

Maybe it was Ann that was in London when they met rather than Richard in Gloucestershire.   :-\

I did wonder whether she might have been in service in the London area but haven't been able to find a suitable 1851 census listing for her.
