wasyl petryszak

I am trying to fill in a couple of gaps of Wasyl Petryszak. He came to Edinburgh 1/9/1948 and died 1983, he was born in Poland, dob 3/3/1919, he also used Benjamin Malinowski. He might have been married in Poland and he could have been divorced or a widower. I have his marriage to a Johanne Braynion she died 2013.

Johann Pollock Braynion aged 80 died 2013 - mmn Hendry

Johanne Pollock Braynion married in 1981 & there are 18 entries on SP for the marriage - looks like spouse was Zbigniew Wladys Malinowska also known under surname Gembalik

Is this the same person who was married to Wasyl?  If so - they must have divorced before 1981

I have some of the information but mislaid it, I can’t look at the certificate as register house is closed.

It is the same guy. What I am trying to find out is, that he could have been married in Poland, and if he was divorced or a widower.

Johann Pollock Braynion was b 1932 Midlothian.  Parents Isabella Hendry & William P Braynion

So if Wasyl was known under both surnames Malinowski & Gembalik - he & Johann only married in 1981 shortly before he died

You will need to buy a copy of the 1981 marriage cert which will show his previous marital status
