James Andrews Baptism 1815 Pershore Holy Cross
« on: Tuesday 02 February 21 11:20 GMT (UK) »
After probably chasing the wrong James Andrews I have found on The Genealogist a reference to a James Andrews Baptised at Holy Cross in Pershore. Unfortunately this entry doesn't appear on FreeReg, although others do. The alternate entry for James Andrews 1816 at Wick I know about and I think he is not the one I am looking for now as he appears to still to be in Wick in 1851 while the other is in Birmingham in 1851 and is my direct ancestor. Hope this makes sense!
Hope someone is able to look this entry up for me so I know who his parents are and I can move forwards. Thank you.

Thank you all but I know about this baptism, I saw it years ago at Worcester Record Office. I should have at the same time checked Holy Cross more carefully, time limited, as there is also a baptism for a James Andrews in 1815. According to the 1851 census there are two James Andrews, one born in Wick and still living in Wick and another born in Pershore and living in Birmingham. He goes on to marry Jane Walley and they are my 3 x gt grandparents.

I have just checked the census for 1841 and 1851, images on Ancestry and James Andrews married to Sarah born and living in Wick and he is a Wheelwright, so it would follow that he is the son of William Andrews, Wheelwright, and Elizabeth and the one in Birmingham is the one baptised at Holy Cross, he is a labourer in 1841 and then becomes a bricklayer.
