I can give further information about Robert .
On the Ancestry site it appears that he Married Elizabeth in 1849 in Toxteth park liverpool .
There Children were Evan b 1866 and Maria b 1869 both in Toxteth park.
My Great Grandfather was of course Evan b 1866.
Lets hope this can help in any discoveries of lineage as i am still baffled...
There's an 1871 census entry with a

his wife Elizabeth born c1826 Anglesea
they have two children
Evan 4 & Maria 2 bn Liverpool
