Mary Irene Williams b abt 1865 Glamorgan

I am struggling to find the birth and the parents of Mary Irene Williams who married William Hill Underwood in West Derby, Liverpool in 1888. In the marriage record it states that she was 23 years old and that her father was Isaac Williams who was an engineer and nothing else. In the 1891 census it indicates that she was born in Penarth, Wales. Mary Irene died in Marylebone, London in 1938 but in her death record it does not give the names of her parents only the informant who was her son James. Can anybody help me?

FreeREG has Penarth records but cant see any Bapts there with a Father Isaac.

But a Isaac Williams was buried there 21 Jan 1895 age 74.

Both of these are excellent discoveries. Unfortunately no sign of a mother in the 1881 Census. Perhaps we could find her in the 1871 Census

I have now found the 1861 and 1871 Censuses for Isaac and his family. His wife's name is Ann. She is in the 1861 Census but not in the 1871 Census so must have died not long after Mary Irene was born in abt 1865

Art seems to be one of the enumerator's notes. It's in a different handwriting. Not articled.

The census entries are in the village of Cefn Pennar, possibly what is meant to be on the later entry for Mary.

Died 25 Sept 1886 in Ystradyfodwg but home address 7 Lucy Row Cwmbach, admin to son David Isaac Williams. Death reg age 58 sept qtr 1886 Pontypridd vol  11a pg 282
