Some thoughts
The child Daniel b 1895 is baptised C o E. the other children are baptised Catholic.

1891 2901/57
Daniel, Margaret and baby Margaret are living in 19 Court, Burlington Street

1895 Daniel son of Daniel and Margaret (who?) baptised - address Beresford Street
1895 Daniel ‘Labsenfield’ (Ancestry) 5 months burial - address 148 Burlington Street

Maybe, Daniel had a relationship with Margaret Hamilton and they had young Daniel whilst Margaret Shephard was having a relationship with Stephen Hogan.

yes i was thinking that it maybe another fling ?,

replying to Heywood, yes on the catholic register its John but on the gro its Joseph ??

off to bed- internet dropping out will carry on tomorrow - thankyou so far - they are a pain , but i have a lot of them like this

29th Jan 1895 Daniel Fahsenfield is born, baptised 3rd Feb to Daniel and Margaret Fahsenfield. - ancestry liverpool records - he dies July 1895

Is this Daniel's birth entry?

1895 Mar West Derby
FAHSENFIELD, DANIEL       mmn HAMILTON

Cannot find a Fazenfield/Hamilton marriage  ??? so I guess the only way you will know who this Daniel’s parents are is by obtaining his b/c

i forgot to say i have daughter Margaret as niece in 1901 - not 1911 though

There is a public tree on Anc*y for Thomas McCarthy
It says his future wife Maggie Fazenfield age 20 living with them shown as "niece”

parents for Margaret shown as

dont know other 3 children.

Stephen Hogan born c1862 Ireland, John & Stephen born Liverpool

Margaret HOGAN buried at Ford Cemetery on 3 Sep 1909, address 127 Eldon St., Grave 1466

I cannot see a marriage c1894 for a Stephen HOGAN / Margaret SHEPHARD  ???

Probably Stephen's death/burial

Stephen HOGAN age 58 (1864)
Jun 1922 Liverpool Volume:   6b Page:   24
died Northern Hospital buried 10 Apr 1922 Ford Cemetery Grave AS 427

I've been looking to see if I could locate Stephen Hogan on earlier censuses but I've not found a match  :-\

There is a Stephen Hogan born c1865 on 1881c census with his parents Stephen & Catherine (mmn Corbett) BUT his pob London and he can be found with his wife
Helen sons Stephen 3 & James 11 months on 1901 census and his pob London

Hi. I've just found this post and trying to find the very same information.

My paternal great-grandfather was Stephen Hogan, my grandfather was John James. I too have the certs and the census information but can't get any further. I've been looking for several years but can't find any marriage cert for Margaret and Stephen. The conflicting birth dates for the children is very confusing!

My dad had only memories of his dad, but none of his grandparents (although there was a vague memory of a photograph on a wall of a man he thought was Stephen, in military clothing). There is a military record - The Dublin City Artillery Regiment - from 1890 which I think might belong to Stephen, although not sure.

I'd love to get further with my research.

Was this the same as Dublin City Artillery Militia, a part-time reserve unit of Royal Artillery based in Dublin 1854-1909? Artillery militia regiments were reorganised 1882, 1889 & 1902, and names changed. Embodied for home defence in 2nd Boer War 1900.
You could ask a question on the military board.
