Harry Landa or Harry Landa Sinclair

I am looking for any information on Harry Landa or Harry Landa Sinclair b. about 1909.
Harry was Jewish, probably came from Leeds and was living in London from about 1933 to 1936 for sure. He may have worked for a large tobacco firm there as a  salesman.

Later he might have been a sergeant in the RAMC and wounded at Dunkirk 1940. (Seems like a quick promotion unless he had prior medic experience).

Not all sure where the Sinclair but comes from.

A lot of this is rumour or conjecture and I have no search resources anymore.

Of course Harry might not have been his given name. Could have been Aaaron or even Herschel.

This may be him since his occupation is shown as full-time ARP ambulance driver. The year of birth is right.

Looking at the births his mother's name seems to alternate between Gablinski & Rochel.

Thanks - elsewhere I found her as Rachel Russell but that surname is obviously a transliteration of something else.

Rochel is a Yiddish form of Rachel. Probably when asked for her name she gave her forename, but it was recorded as her surname.

Thanks everybody. I have now his birth date and entry in the register of deaths age 91. Had a lot of help from Sherry Landa who runs a site on Leeds Jewry.

Still don't know why he was also known as Harry Sinclair but that is unimportant to me.
