I’m researching the ancestors of Frank N A Greenway’s wife, Adelaide E Beech, but I’m struggling to fully identify Adelaide’s mother, also called Adelaide and find her in a family on a census record. I would also like to find out who Edward Beech’s parents are, as I can’t find a birth record, only a death record. Frank and Adelaide’s marriage - April 1931 Epsom, Surrey, 2a 71.
• Frank and Adelaide in 1939 are living in Harrop’s Row, Tarporley, Northwich R.D. Cheshire (although Frank’s wife’s record is closed). This gives Frank’s birth date as 8 Jun 1902.
• I can find who I believe to be Adelaide’s parents - Edward Beech (born 25 Nov 1866) and wife Adelaide Beech (born 14 Oct 1869) - on the 1939 census with two children Mary A Beech b. 19 Jan 1902 and Thomas E Beech b. 6 Aug 1911, plus someone else but the record is closed (this is possibly Adelaide). They are all living at Craigie, Leatherhead Road, Great Bookham, Surrey.
• I can’t find an actual birth record for Adelaide, but I have found a death record for ADELAIDE BEECH in April 1981, which gives her birth as 14 Jan 1907.
• Adelaide’s sister, Mary A Beech’s birth is registered at West Ham, Essex – Vol 4a Page 471.
• There are several “Beech’s” birth records for West Ham, but I can’t connect these to my family.
• Edward BEECH died Craigie, Leatherhead Road on 10 Nov 1941, age 75 – which puts his birth date as 1866. This is the same Edward Beech as in the above 1939 census.
• I can’t find Edward, (wife) Adelaide and family on the 1911 census anywhere.
Can anyone please help me find this family and identify who Adelaide Beech’s parents are? Many for reading this.
