Unknown Polish Airmen
« on: Sunday 14 February 21 12:47 GMT (UK) »
This photograph is a group of Polish airmen serving in England in 1941/42.  All of the men in it are now deceased but I am trying to identify the man on the extreme right.  Can anyone please help by sharpening his facial features.  I know it's like Mission Impossible but there are some clever people on here.  Many thanks.

This probably won't help much, but very slightly sharpened.  Someone else should be able to do a better job.

This is about as far as I can take his face without making it up.

Thanks to all who have responded.

This was an incredibly difficult task but your responses will help me to identify him on group photos.  In fact the enhanced images you have supplied are already pointing to one particular airman based mainly on the date of the photo and the shape of his face.  I really appreciate your efforts.  Thank you all

Thanks tomkin,

I think you have just proved me right.  This looks very much like the man I mentioned in my last response.  I will show it to his daughter and ask if she agrees with me. There are signs in the photo that his face is slightly mis-shaped and this reflects injuries he suffered the SECOND time he survived being shot down!
