Thomas Powell and Ann
« on: Monday 15 February 21 11:50 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone please help?

I have Ann David who Married Thomas Powell 3 Dec 1823 St Brides Minor they had daughter Ann in 1825. She married Thomas Griffith in 1847.
Thomas Powell was a widow on marriage to Ann David,Thomas died in 1846 and left a will.

https://viewer.library.wales/877191#?c=&m=&s=&cv=&manifest=https%3A%2F%2Fdamsssl.llgc.org.uk%2Fiiif%2F2.0%2F877191%2Fmanifest.json&xywh=442%2C78%2C2168%2C2273

Thomas had a son Enoch Powell baptised 31 July  1815 in Coity Mothers name is Ann Morgan ,in his will it looks like Enochs name has been erased.

Ann Powell nee David died in 1851 and left a will, https://viewer.library.wales/599465#?c=&m=&s=&cv=&manifest=https%3A%2F%2Fdamsssl.llgc.org.uk%2Fiiif%2F2.0%2F599465%2Fmanifest.json&xywh=-276%2C0%2C3291%2C3450

In the will she names Enoch Powell as executor, also named are Elizabeth David wife of Edward David and Ann Llewellyn.

Edward married Elizabeth Llewellyn 2 Dec 1840 in Coity. Edwards father is John David Labourer and Elizabeths father is John Llewellyn Butcher.

In 1841 Edward and Elizabeth are living next door to Ann Llewellyn in East Gate Street Coity,in 1851 they are living with Ann.

Ann Morgan married John Llewellyn 1804 in Coity.

There is a baptism on Family search https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KCY4-LNH
I do not have access to Find My Past, could this be checked please .

I am trying to establish the connection but seem to be going in circles.

Could John David (Father of Edward) be a brother to Ann David ? and is Ann Morgan the mother of Enoch Powell although she would have been married and have the name LLewellyn at the time.

Thank you

Thanks,

I have a copy of Enochs baptism in 1815. His father Thomas Powell and Ann David are my 3x G Grandparents.

I don't think the marriage to Ann Morgan in 1837 is the same Thomas Powell.
