FindMyPast film strips on census pages- help
« on: Wednesday 17 February 21 17:47 GMT (UK) »
I'm not sure if this is new but I've only just had this come up on a census image. It's full of all sorts of slick tool icons and has a film strip across the bottom.  Thus only half the image can be seen.
,
Has anyone else had this view and how can I get it back to normal page view.please?

Apart from still showing the film strip - choose "Full Screen".  You can then increase or decrease the image.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Blimey! When did that happen? I guess it's OK and gives more access to different options. Just hope it prints and downloads ok....

I noticed the same thing on Parish Register pages today too.  A similar thing happens on Familysearch.org but on that website you are able to reduce the lower bit and view the image in full without that.

I did that before posting. It's still the same but bigger, which is not what I want.

I'll try that but I don't like it - I've told them so!

I've found that the best way is to right click and .*. This gets rid of the gumph.  At least you can then decide if you want to download or not.
