I had this today. I have deleted and blocked. These scammers are a nuisance

Not very well constructed though - HMRC have nothing to do with Council Tax!

There will be some elderly people who won't realise though and get caught in the trap.

The word reduction would raise a red flag.  In reality it's the other way round with price increases.
