Not much jumping out for them so far.

Only one possible marriage between a James Simpson and Mary A (none with Ann*) in Midlothian between 1900-22: Marriage in 1916 in St Giles, bride Mary A Kerr. If she married/went by just Mary... Also, they could have married anywhere but lived in Edinburgh during the war years.

Looking at the electoral rolls for 1946, there is one entry at 11 Tron Square for a James Simpson and Mary A Simpson which might be them.

Mary Ann Sullivan Kerr/Simpson, widow of James Kerr, labourer, commited suicide  (coal gas poisoning) in 1950. Had still been living at 11 Tron Square.

 :-\ :'(

Is this the right family for James Jnr...I don't know really. We would need an address I guess for parents to confirm I suggest. Don't know if this would have been included on any documents. Just seen from records for him that his birth place is given as Edinburgh.

Although buried at Mount Vernon, he doesn't look to have died in Scotland. England?
