Hi Carolmc

Have found the Bpt of William.

Bishops transcrpts

2nd July 1755  Wm. son of Samuel & Mary Orm.

The actual Winster Registers of this date are bit of a mess, however the entry is very clear in
the Bishop Trans.
I viewed the images on familysearch are you registered on this site? It is free.

Hi Spendlove big thank you for the info, but how did you do it? Info is not on worldwide ancestry or familysearch which I have used since 2006. I put the link into google but can't see how it works. What is G2G? Is this another search site? Sorry but more help required, but I'm now wondering how many results could be found using this tool. Regards Carolmc

Hi Spendlove, yes received with thanks. Very clear and easy to follow. I am registered with famsearch.
About two weeks ago I found my way to the Derbyshire records and started from the beginning to trace any Orme family, I got past 150 pages of very messy records, some upsidedown, and didn't find anyone, it was a bit sole destroying! This is when I decided to try rootschat which has been very helpful in the past and in turn I have been able to help others.

When I've finished with William I'll start a new post! Thank you again regards carolmc
