Help needed to restore Cyril Rowles

Could this picture be restored. please.
If he could be positioned in the middle of a 6x4in portrait size with a suitable plainish background that would be fabulous. I hope I am not being too fussy.
Cyril Rowles served with the Royal Artillery in WW1.
This is the only picture I have of him.
I have a much larger file which I could send if needed.
