Hi, thanks Heywood for the link you sent me.  Looks very useful.

Hi and thanks also to Dublin1850. Very interesting point you make about the priest getting into trouble for marrying Catholics to Protestants. 

It's actually made me re-think something I found in my research that could suggest an inter-faith marriage in my family during this period that I'd never considered before. 

Hmmm ...... I shall be looking into this, as well as looking up references to Simon Bermingham in the Freeman's Journal on Irish Newspaper Archive.

Try the https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/ too. They have a number of Irish papers.

The same man was in Francis Street early in his career.
