Deaths at Leeds General Infirmary
« on: Friday 19 February 21 20:54 GMT (UK) »
I've just found out my stepdad has died back in 2009. I have found out he died at Leeds General Infirmary on 29th December 2009. His name was Michael Leslie Bush born 14th December 1947. How do i find out where he's been laid to rest. I have searched through crematorium and burial sites but I can't find him. No family members don't know either where he is. Could someone help me or point me in the right direction.
Many thanks.

Hello and welcome.
Have you contacted the local paper in case there is a death announcement archived?

There is a brief published family tree on Ancestry. If it is not yours, you could try contacting the tree owner.
There is a death certificate attached to the tree indicating that Michael died in a care home.

Regards
Heywood

A warm welcome to Rootschat Lisa.

As you may know there are sevearal cemeteries and crematoria in Leeds - and he is possibly buried - or was cremated, at the one nearest to his home -- if you know where that was.

As Calverley Lad has suggested - you can contact the Bereavement Services if you know the date of death - I am assuming you have the death certificate (but we should never assume should we!)

I have looked through all the transcribed burial records for the Leeds area, but the date year is too new for the record to be viewed/transcribed by others.
I wonder if you knew of the undertaker they would at least know where  the event took place,burial/cremation.

So your late step father wasn't born in Leeds, could he have been buried in his home town?
