Alfred SHAW, born 1834, Hitchin

Hello,

Alfred SHAW, the son of John SHAW, a Carpenter, and his wife Maria (nee SPRIGGINS), born 1804 and 1807 respectively, was baptised in the parish of Ippollitts on 26/01/1835.   He had numerous brothers/sisters, numbering in the region of 14.

I have managed to document his life up to and including his release by a free pardon from Dartmoor Prison on 15/07/1853........he had originally been sentenced to 7 years transportation on 23/12/1850.     Sadly from 15/07/1853 onwards I have been unable to trace his whereabouts.
