Mary Hollingworth
« on: Saturday 20 February 21 17:28 GMT (UK) »
I have a large family tree for my gg grandmother Mary Hollingworth b 1808. Bagthorpe Nottinghamshire. but cannot find any siblings which is a bit strange unless she was unlucky and was the only living child.  Her parents were Thomas Hollingworth b1765. & Mary Oscroft b1771
Mary married Joseph Hays also Bagthorpe
I would be grateful if anyone can find siblings if any.
Many thanks.  Tineke

Did she die before the 1851 census as I can't see a Mary Hay*s with a birthplace of Bagthorpe

Neither the 1851/61/71 censuses have a Mary Hay*s with a birthplace of Bagthorpe.  She was 74 on the death reg

Where did you get Bagthorpe from?

Where did you get her fathers name as Thomas from?  A tree on Ancestry has her father as Ralph

The first post does say Thomas Hollingworth, but here's a marriage:

1790 11 15   Ralph  HOLLINGWORTH   Mary   OSCROFT        KIRKBY IN ASHFIELD St Wilfrid

I can't see any other marriages for Hollingworth/Oscroft.

The only marriage in the right timescale for a Mary and Thomas Hollingworth is this one:

1796 05 24   Thomas   HOLLINGWORTH   Mary   HOPWELL   SCREVETON St Wilfrid
Bradbury (Sedgeley, Bilston, Warrington)
Cooper (Sedgeley, Bilston)
Kilner/Kilmer (Leic, Notts)
Greenfield (Liverpool)
Holyland (Anywhere and everywhere, also Holiland Holliland Hollyland)
Pryce/Price (Welshpool, Liverpool)
Rawson (Leicester)
Upton (Desford, Leics)
Partrick (Vera and George, Leicester)
Marshall (Westmorland, Cheshire/Leicester)
