The Dent family of Larling, East Harling, South Lopham, Kenninghall Norfolk

I’m new to Rootschat. Wondering if anyone is connected to the Dent family. My 3x Great Grandfather and Grandmother Michael Dent and Barbara Bye of Larling emigrated to Australia early 1850s. Michael’s Grandmother, Martha, was not married and had at least 4 ‘base born’ children, including Michael’s father Thomas. Any information generally about unmarried mothers in late 1700s/early 1800s would be interesting to me.
Also, any connections to this family is welcome.

There is an 1841 entry for an 80yr old Martha Dent living in East Harling

1851 she is 90 - unmarried - b South Lopham shown as grandmother to William Gust.  Shown as a pauper on parish relief

Died September qtr 1853 Guiltcross but shown as 80 on death reg
