A Springall Lady
« on: Sunday 21 February 21 14:31 GMT (UK) »
Some years ago I was shown a handful of photos of my father-in-law's mother's family.  No-one knew who the people were but I would like to hazard a guess at the dates and have some of them restored.  I wasn't allowed to have the originals but managed to get some photos of the photos.  So, here is the first ...........

Any clues on a date for this lady?  I remember the original was mounted on stiff card which I think may have been a 'carte de visite' or 'cabinet card'. Can the white markings be removed please?

I'm now researching the Springall family and hoping that some clue on a date will help me identify this lady.

Have no idea of the era, sorry.  I just removed a few of the bad spots.

Gillian - it's best to put each one up as a separate thread. It can get muddled otherwise.  Look forward to seeing them   :)

I will post the others as separate threads.  I have to do a little digging on the next one before I post.

I've just found a photo of the reverse of this lady if it helps/interests.

It looks like she is wearing a Victorian double sided locket. I have one in rose gold, I may be wrong but it looks like it could be a photo of a baby, maybe for remembrance.
