Dorset Family History Society's Monthly Online Zoom Meeting
« on: Sunday 21 February 21 20:19 GMT (UK) »
Dorset Family History Society is hosting an on-line Zoom talk on Tuesday 16th March 2021 from 7.30pm - 9.15pm (approx.)

ON-LINE SPEAKER IS PAUL STICKLER talking on ‘MURDER, RESEARCH and FAMILY HISTORY’.

Paul will present a number of historical murder investigations from the early part of the twentieth century. He will demonstrate how stories can be unravelled using primary source material found in local record offices, national records held by the National Archives in London, as well as using traditional family history sources.

Paul Stickler is a retired detective turned criminologist and historian, and explores some of the detail behind a number of the most fascinating cases in criminal history. His experience in murder investigations, coupled with his passion for history, make his presentation absorbing, challenging, entertaining and informative. He is a member of the Crime Writers’ Association and has a book published regarding a bizarre murder investigation in 1919.

To access the talk please email liaison@dorsetfhs.org.uk from the week before. An invitation will be sent out with sign in details, and then sign in to Zoom from 7.15pm on the night for a 7.30 start. The Society would welcome a voluntary contribution of £3 towards the cost via our website.  Thank you.
