Another Springall lady

This young woman is said to be a Springall but possibly in a different generation to the previous Springall lady.

This woman is thought to be one of the sisters of my father-in-law's mother so born sometime 1884 - 1895 (Emily Beatrice, Mary Ann Eleanor or Alice Amelia).  I was told she was a dancer and there is a note on the back which says she may have been a Tiller Girl.  I have found a website for the Tiller Girls and it seems they did tour widely in Europe and beyond in the 1920s and 1930s and this photo seems to have been taken in Dusseldorf.  I am sure I saw a passenger list of a Springall woman who could be this lady going to the USA (I think) as part of a touring dance troupe but I cannot find the document anywhere now.

The photo, to me, looks like it may have been a publicity shot of some sort rather than the more traditional 'portrait' taken for family to keep.

The image is very like the stock photos of female entertainers of the 1920's,
however the postcard is Edwardian & into the teen years.
With postcard dating what we really need is a stamp box but it would have
to be before the war.
So not exactly a publicity photo but a stock photo of a female entertainer.
Beautiful girl & I would say in her early 20's.

I see you haven't ask for a Restore but there are some very small blemishes which can be easily removed, just say yeah or nay!

jim1:  Yes, I thought it might be a standard sort of photo of a standard sort of pose.  Early 20s was my guess too so nice to have agreement.

I had some  similar to this, given to me by a lecturer who was doing a study of images of women.

I'm on my laptop again so never sure how they come out on a real screen!
