The Tank Corps 1924
« on: Monday 22 February 21 10:36 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone tell me this?     (I've tried all the usual routes, but can't find out).     If a young man living in Northern Ireland wanted to join the Tank Corps in 1924, where would he have to go to enlist?

As Northern Ireland was and is part of the UK, I'd suggest he'd go to any British Army recruiting office in NI.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

Thank you very much to all of you who replied.     I have now checked Find My Past and he is not there.     Perhaps he joined another regiment and transferred later.    He was certainly in the Tank Corps when he retired.        Does anyone know where I might be able to check the records of the Chelsea Pensioners?    He was in there when he died.
