Gestinthorpe wasa maternity home in the 30s, and 40s. I was born there in the 1930's, and my brother was born there in1944. I don't know when itclosed

Hi, I was mainly commenting to other posts that were enquiring  about its existance,  and that they supposed that it was a maternity home for unmarried mothers. I can assure them that my mother was most certainly not unmarried when I and my brother were born there. I would also be interested to know when it did finally close.
