I realise that this doesn’t exactly fit the original query, but I thought that some people might be interested.

Just for this week, My Heritage is having a:

Special promotion: all advanced DNA features are free forever for DNA data uploaded this week!
Expires February 28, 2021.

Romilly, is there a special link for the My Heritage DNA upload offer?  I can't see anything obvious on their website.

Found it in the DNA upload tab

For info, if you've already uploaded a particular kit in the past and decide to upload it again in order to take advantage of the free offer, be warned MH are able to tell that they already have it, even if you've given it a different name, and won't let you do it again.  But if you delete the original uploaded test results it seems to go through OK (fingers crossed, the message said 5-7 days I think).

Hi youngtug,

No. I just purchased the kit, through the site and my account and sent the sample back. I have been tracking it through my normal login and access to my account etc.  I didn't have any instructions etc to link the Kit.

I believe it was linked by MH. I can access it all just by Logingin to my usual account. It is all quite odd.  I am going to do the cluster analysis and a couple of other things and then see what happens.

Regards Essnell.

Seems strange, you should be able to look at the trees of matches, if they have one, that and DNA comparison

Hi Everyone,

Thank you all for all the replies - very much appreciated.    At least i am not a daft as i thought on this issue.

I have sent the company a message asking why and that I was not aware that a Complete Subscription was required.  I think that is what they are directing me to upgrade to.  It is quite odd because when I checked all that out, most of what they say is off limits on a data sub, I can actually do.  It must have something to do with how long ago I joined.   So now it is all broken into various levels.

I will wait to hear back from them.

My checking has revealed that anything to do with accessing a tree of someone else I cannot activate. So no Cluster Analysis etc.  Otherwise it is quite good.

Thanks all again,
 Regards  Essnell.
